WASHINGTON, DC — Today, The Tech Oversight Project launched a new digital ad spotlighting recent reporting from Politico that included recently released documents leaked by the House Judiciary Committee explicitly detailing how Big Tech monopolies, Google, Apple, Facebook, and Amazon, self-preference their own products to crush their competitors, profit at the expense of small businesses, and ultimately raise prices on consumers. View the ad here.

“Reporting last week exposed Big Tech for what they really are: monopolistic bullies who will kill off all competition to pad their billions in profit – and then lie to Congress about it. We have the smoking gun evidence, and we are going to make sure voters across the country understand what is at stake,” said Sacha Haworth, Executive Director of The Tech Oversight Project. “Google, Apple, Facebook, and Amazon’s internal documents prove that their predatory practices have raised prices on consumers, bled Main Street dry, and left Americans with fewer choices online. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer needs to meet the urgency of the moment, keep his promise, and finally, bring antitrust legislation to a vote.”

The bombshell report from Politico reveals internal documents from these monopolies and adds urgency for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to fulfill his promise by bringing the American Innovation and Choice Online Act and the Open App Markets Act to the Senate floor for a vote.
